Manager of Investor Relations Established and Highly Regarded Management Group

The Mining Recruitment Group is currently recruiting for a Manager of Investor Relations to oversee all investor relations functions of a well respected group of mining companies based in Vancouver.

The Manager of IR will be responsible for the following:

a) Serving as the primary point of contact for investor issues and the principal spokesperson to the financial community (analysts, brokers, individual investors and news media
b) Creating and disseminating press releases and presentation material.
c) Planning and executing roadshows, conference attendance and a comprehensive investor relations calendar of events.
d) Maintaining and enhancing the investor relations database using modern day software.
e) Keeping abreast of the latest types of communications and investor relations techniques

The ideal candidate will be a professional person with a post-secondary education or equivalent experience in business, finance or communications, with a solid understanding of the mining sector. At least 5 years experience in investor relations, with strong personal connections to the financial community including connections to fund managers, analysts, brokers,newsletter writers.etc. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be a self-starter with good time management skills, and able to comfortably multi-task in an environment of rapidly changing priorities. The candidate must be proficient with most of the commercially available software pertaining to the job including Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Maximizer. Travel will be required for roadshows and conferences.
