The Mining Recruitment Group Ltd is a boutique search & selection firm focused exclusively on the unique needs of the mining and metals sector.

Our Client, an advanced exploration company with a core portfolio of resource projects in the Golden Triangle area of BC, has retained us to secure a VP of Exploration to guide them on their quest add ounces as they look to transition from exploration to development.  The Company is led by one of the most accomplished explorationists in the industry and with significant backing, they are looking to fast-track development on their flagship asset, a past producing mine.

Reporting to the President and C.E.O., the Vice President of Exploration will be responsible for the following:

• Preparing and implementing exploration strategy, plans and budgets
• Source and evaluate opportunities for acquisition and development
• Managing and liaising with staff and consultants
• Contribute to corporate strategic plans

The ideal candidate would be a registered professional geologist with a minimum of 15 years of increasingly senior experience in advanced exploration, and previous experience operating within the Golden Triangle.   The successful applicant will be a known-entity within the BC mineral exploration community. They will be an excellent communicator with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to a non-technical audience. The Incumbent will be a key member of the management team involved in identifying potential acquisition opportunities while ensuring current projects are methodically explored to their potential.
