The Mining Recruitment Group is a boutique executive search firm focused on the unique needs of the mining industry.

Our client is a +$60m market cap gold focused exploration company with a multi-million ounce deposit that they are looking to aggressively develop. Given the sheer size of their flagship project and the catalysts they have laid out over the coming few years, they are looking to bring on board an experienced and connected Investor Relations professional to help position and raise the profile of the company in the marketplace.

Director of Investor Relations

The successful candidate will manage all aspects of our Client’s investor communication and disclosure. Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Working closely with senior staff to develop and implement a successful investor relations program to effectively communicate with the investment community and to ensure all public disclosure requirements are met.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for investor issues and the principal spokesperson to the financial community (analysts, brokers, individual investors and news media).
  • Creating and disseminating press releases and presentation material.
  • Planning and executing roadshows, conference attendance and a comprehensive investor relations calendar of events
  • Maintaining and enhancing the investor relations database.
  • Maintaining the Client’s websites.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest types of communications and investor relations techniques.
  • The ideal candidate will have an extensive background working within the capital markets, with strong relationships within and knowledge of the mining industry, and ideally will have worked in a similar capacity with other established resource companies. At least 7 years experience in investor relations, with strong personal connections to the financial community including connections to fund managers, analysts, brokers,newsletter writers.etc. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be a self-starter with good time management skills, and able to comfortably multi-task in an environment of rapidly changing priorities. Travel will be required for roadshows, conferences and site visits.
